What to bring and What Not to bring to Amiskwi Lodge.

About necessary gear...
Amiskwi is well equipped (our kitchen has too many pots, pans and utensils) so all you need to bring is your personal gear, safety equipment, food, and bedding.

You will need a sleeping bag, pillow case, and towel.

In summer, plan your food & clothing carefully, you have to carry it all up a steep trail - about 45 minutes of relatively challenging exercise!

* To acquaint yourself with the lodge and how things work, read the Information Binder, which is hanging in the lodge.

Emergency Equipment

  • Fire extinguishers are located in the kitchen, drying room, upstairs, & under the lodge.
  • A Rescue cache is located at the back of the sauna building.
  • Basic First Aid Kit located in the workroom.

Satellite Phone

To conserve our solar powered batteries, please turn the phone off when no one is in the lodge and at night when people go to bed.
The group leader will be invoiced for any and all calls, in or out, upon receipt of our phone invoice. Please record the group leader’s name, your name, the date and time of your call in the phone book. Satellite phone: 600 700 2194
