Getting to Amiskwi Lodge

Winter
We helicopter our guests in on a Sunday to Sunday basis. Guests meet at the Alpine Helicopter hanger at the Golden Airport. After an incredible twenty minute flight, you land right at the lodge.

Summer
We recommend a high clearance vehicle - SUVs or trucks work well. Leaving Golden, you drive up the Blaeberry Forest Service Road and then up Ensign Creek Road. The drive is a spectacular two hour trip up the Blaeberry Valley past glaciers and towering peaks. Vehicles park in the porcupine enclosure, and after a steep 45 minute hike, you have reached your destination - Amiskwi Lodge.

It is a 144 km round trip so check your gas gauge before leaving Golden.

Getting There - Alternate Map 2

Driving from Golden, 20 kms on paved country roads and 70 kms on the Blaeberry Forest Service road and the Ensign Creek road bring you to our summer staging area.

Once at the staging area, a steep 45 minute hike through trees brings you to Amiskwi. The exact location of Amiskwi lodge can be noted on the map '82N10 Blaeberry River' using Grid reference 229-185.

A backpack and good walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended to get up the trail to the lodge. In the winter we fly you in to Amiskwi with Alpine Helicopters. A 20 minute flight from Golden, and you are at our door!
