Amiskwi and COVID-19

Due to the pandemic, Amiskwi made the decision to cancel their last ski week in March 2020.  The lodge was closed and Amiskwi suspended their hiking and skiing for the entire year of 2021.  For those groups whose trips were cancelled, we offered them the choice of a full refund or a week close to their booked week in the next year.  All but two groups chose to move their ski weeks to 2022.

Our COVID-19 plan for 2022

  • Amiskwi will only accept bookings from ‘bubble’ groups, family or friends who are comfortable with each other’s COVID safety practices prior to and during their stay at Amiskwi.

  • Guests will be required to wear masks and maintain a 2 meter separation from caretakers and guests outside their bubble.

  • Guest will be required to wear masks while at the helipad, in the helicopter and at the lodge during change over of guests.

  • Guests will bring their own rubber gloves for dish washing, tea towels and paper towels.  Frequent hand washing will be encouraged.

  • Disinfectant supplies will be readily available to guests and they will be encouraged to sanitize daily.

  • Guests will be required to sanitize the lodge before their departure.

  • If guests develop COVID symptoms while at the lodge, they will self-isolate.

  • If the symptoms become more severe the guest will be evacuated at their expense.

The Guest Agreement

The group leader needs to make sure everyone in their group reads and accepts the terms of The Guest Agreement.  Once the group has read and accepted the agreement, the leader will sign and email it to
