Getting to Amiskwi
Amiskwi is accessed by helicopter only, via Alpine Helicopters located in Golden, BC. In the winter, guests should wear all their ski gear on the helicopter. In the summer, all guests should wear their hiking gear.
From the Alpine Hanger at the Golden Municipal Airport, our guests have an awe-inspiring twenty-minute helicopter ride which lands right at the lodge. There is secure parking at the Alpine hanger for guest vehicles.
Fly In Schedule
The leader of the group will be contacted with flight times. Guests should be at the Golden Alpine Helicopter hanger, located at the Golden Airport, an hour before scheduled flight time, to load gear onto wheeled carts, park cars in secure parking, and be ready for the helicopter safety talk.
Fly Out Schedule
The caretaker will let the guests at the lodge know when they should be ready to fly. The lodge should be cleaned & ready for the next group. Garbage boxed up, taped and labeled as "garbage out". Gear and equipment organized and ready to load.
